• PalmSource has shifted it’s engineering efforts to focus on Linux-based versions of Palm OS. Interesting. Given that Cobalt was released with much fanfare (on December 29, 2003) and we’ve seen, well, not much of it at all. Admittedly, I was particularly concerned about some of the functionality that Palm OS 6 (Cobalt) brought to the fight (PMA, multi-tasking, and multi-threading for example).  It turned out that I had nothing to worry about given what we’ve seen is a fairly festive release of custom Palm OS 5 releases. Lovely.  That all changes now, IMO.  A Linux-based Palm OS device is something to take notice of…  Also, check out this piece from mobilepipeline.
• Own a Fujitsu-Siemens Pocket LOOX? They have announced upgrades for Windows Mobile 5.0. (via InfoSyncWorld)
• There’s a Wi-Fi update for the h6300 family of devices. (via MobileTechReview)
• Opera web browser for Windows Mobile Smartphones has been released (via msmobiles.com)
• From the::unwired comes a piece on Wi-Fi support in Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphones
• For all of you Motorola MPx220 types, msmobiles.com is reporting that a ROMupdate is available.
• msmobiles.com has a review of the HP hw6515 (including an audio interview)
